Hello dance families,

It’s here! The DanceWorks Kenora 2026 Recital is this weekend. Here’s a few final reminders as we head into our dress rehearsals and performances.

  • Make sure you have reviewed the schedule and know your dancers call times. Dress rehearsal includes costumes, hair, and makeup so that we can see how everything looks on stage with the lights.
  • If an emergency or illness prevents participation please notify Erin by text at 807-464-3666.
  • Access to the Beaver Brae Theatre is from the east side entrance (not the main entrance).
    • Please use the upper east side parking lot.
  • Only volunteers and dancers are permitted to stay during dress rehearsal and to be in the backstage classrooms during the event.
    • Dancers age 12 and under must be signed in/out by a parent or guardian. Please be patient during the check-in and check-out process, this is how we ensure the safety of all of our dancers.
  • Dancers are able to watch the other performances at dress rehearsal. For the performances, dancers will remain in the dressing rooms.
    • Some snacks and activities are provided. Dancers are also encouraged to bring their own snacks (no nuts please!), water bottle, and other items to help pass the time.
  • Costume return will happen at the studio on weekday evenings between May 11 to May 25.
    • If you need to arrange an alternate return date please get in touch. For tracking purposes, costumes cannot be returned at recital.
  • All shows are sold out!
    • We have a waitlist for tickets for each show. If you have tickets you won’t be able to use please let the studio know in advance or at the door so that we can give others the opportunity to make use of those seats.
    • The recital will be professionally filmed and will be available approximately two weeks after the event. Reminder: We include a digital download for each dancer! Access to your free digital download will be sent to the primary account contact once the video is available online.
