Hello dance families,
A few news items and reminders as we near Recital and the end of Full Year and Winter/Spring dance classes. Classes end on June 1 and Dress Rehearsal and Recital are our wrap-up events for the year. Don’t forget your picture orders are due to Colleen today!
Volunteers Needed
We are still looking for more volunteers to help at dress rehearsal and the performance shows. For more details on volunteering you can review the post under News at danceworkskenora.com/2017/05/03/volunteers-needed-2017-year-end-recital/
The following are the positions that still require volunteers.
Dress Rehearsal Class Supervisors:

Buy Your Recital Tickets Online
Recital tickets are $15 for adults and $12 for youth/seniors and can be purchased online in advance or with cash at the door. Tickets are general admission. It is highly recommended that you purchase tickets online in advance. There are no guarantees of tickets still being available at the door (but with 2 shows this year we do not expect both to sell-out in advance). Purchasing online also lets you take advantage of multi-ticket discounts of $2 off a second ticket and $3 off any additional tickets.
2017 Recital DVD
The recital will be professionally videotaped and DVD’s will be available to purchase for $25. DVD’s must be pre-ordered by sending an email to info@danceworkskenora.com and must be paid for at the time of ordering (cash, cheque, or credit card through the member portal).
Photography and video will not be allowed during the recital. Photography and lights from electronics can be very distracting to both dancers and your fellow audience members. Please take the opportunity to sit back and enjoy the show and your child’s performance in the moment rather than from behind a screen. The dancers will enjoy performing more to a theatre of smiling faces than to a theatre of device screens.
Summer Classes & Camps
Registration is open for summer classes and camps. This includes a 4 week June session running June 5 to 29, July summer camps, and a 4 week August session running August 1 to 24. You can view all of the summer programming and register through the member portal. You can also view the schedule under “Class Schedule” at danceworkskenora.com. Just be sure to click ahead in the calendar to see what is scheduled for the summer months. There are also flyers you can pick up at the studio.
Summer classes are a great time to try dance, to explore a new style, build technique and flexibility and increase skill level for future full-year classes.
