Summer Camps
Registration is open and spots are still available in most of our summer camps. We’re excited to be welcoming Kirsten Favreau back as a summer camp instructor for a 3rd year! She’ll be joined this year by Molly Hayse, who has been dancing with the studio for 8 years and is about to graduate from her Early Childhood Education program.
Each of our summer camps is carefully planned for the appropriate age and level and includes a variety of dance, movement, rhythm, and other creative activities. We’ve also made an adjustment to the schedule and now have two “2 Day Technique Camps” available for ages 8+. There’s something for everyone!

Performance Ensemble Auditions
Call for Dancers! We’re already looking ahead to the 2024-2025 dance season and want to get a sense of who might be interested in joining the DanceWorks Kenora Performance Ensemble. This audition style class is open to everyone, including those with no previous dance experience. There is no cost to audition and you are not making a commitment to the program, just indicating a possible interest.
The Performance Ensemble is an extra training program for students and requires an additional commitment beyond regular weekly classes. Students will develop their technical and performance skills while attending workshops or conventions, learning choreography, and preparing for performance opportunities in the community or at competitions. Dancers that are interested in solo, duet, or trio opportunities must also attend this audition.
Monday, June 10
5:00 – 6:30 pm – Primary to Junior (age 7 to 11)
6:45 – 8:45 pm – Junior to Senior (age 11+)
*dancers age 11 attending the Junior to Senior audition should have at least 3 years of dance experience

Assistant Workshop
We’re hosting a workshop for those that would be interested in assisting dance classes in the 2024 – 2025 dance season. All assistants must be age 10+ and have danced previously with the studio. Being an assistant allows dancers to get more involved with the studio, learn leadership skills, and receive tuition credit towards their own dance classes.

2024 Recital Video – Online Until June 9
The DanceWorks Kenora 2024 Year-End Recital Video is available online. Share the ticketing link with your family and friends that couldn’t attend in person (or that might just want to enjoy the show again). Stream or download the performance through the DanceWorks Kenora ticketing site until June 9, 2024.
Participating dance families, you should have received the link to your free download on May 24. If you don’t have it please contact the studio for access and be sure to download the file by June 9.
