December is here! We know this is a busy time of year for everyone. Please take a moment to review the studio information below.
Parent Viewing
You are invited to attend your dancer’s class(es) for the week of Monday, December 10th to Saturday, December 15th. Parents and well-behaved siblings are invited to observe class to see what the dancers have been learning. Please be mindful of our limited studio space and keep the number of observers per dancer reasonable (our spring performances are the time to invite extended family and friends). Also, if you are attending an early evening class please be mindful of the parking situation at the studio and be sure not to block access to any of our neighbouring businesses.
Registration is open for Winter Session
Register now for Winter classes including Creative Movement, Parent & Tot, Adult Ballet, Adult Tap, Gentle Ballet, Gentle Jazz & Tap, Pilates (+Cardio) and a new option of Essentrics in January. Please note, the Winter session of Creative Movement (Tuesday or Saturday) participates in our Year-End Recital on May 11. Winter/Spring session begins on Saturday, January 5, 2019. Christmas Break & End of Fall Session
Saturday, December 15 is the last day of classes before our Christmas Break. This also marks the end of the Fall Session classes which includes Creative Movement and all mini-session classes. Full Year classes resume on Saturday, January 5, 2019.
Tuition and Payments
Don’t forget that monthly payments are due on the 5th of each month. Accounts that are behind in their payments will be receiving reminder statements to the email address on file. You can check your payments and fees at any time through the DanceWorks Kenora portal.
Attendance is Important
An important part of dance training is regular attendance at class. You can now view your dancer’s attendance through your portal account! Makeup classes are encouraged for dancers that have missed classes. If you are unsure what class would be a good fit for your dancer as a makeup class please check with their teacher. Dancers that have missed more than 3 classes during the Fall session will be receiving an email with details on attendance requirements in order to be included in the spring performances for their class.

Clothing can be purchased before/after classes and during the following hours:
- Monday, December 10 – Friday, December 14 from 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm
- Monday, December 17 – Friday, December 21 from 12:30 pm to 5:30 pm
