Hi DWK families,
March Break has nearly arrived! A reminder that there no classes running from Sunday, March 12 to Sunday, March 19.
As we near performance season there will be more detailed information sent out regarding Festival of the Arts, Picture Day, and our Year-End Recital. For now please be certain you “save the date” for each event. If you know your dancer has a conflict for one of these dates please let the studio know as soon as possible at email@example.com
- Saturday, April 22 (morning) – Festival of the Arts Dance Performances at 7 Generations Event Centre
- Saturday, April 22 (afternoon) – Festival of the Arts Dance Workshops at DanceWorks Kenora
- Sunday, April 30 – Picture Day at DanceWorks Kenora (class & individual pictures)
- Saturday, June 3 – DanceWorks Kenora 2017 Year-End Recital at 7 Generations Event Centre
Costumes will soon be sent home with students. A reminder that costumes are provided by DanceWorks Kenora at no additional cost to families. Please be sure to store costumes in a safe place at home. Families are responsible for costumes until after the Recital when they must be returned. Unreturned or damaged costumes will result in a costume replacement fee of $60 (+HST).
The last Winter/Spring mini-session of Pilates is open for registration. This is a 7 week session running March 22 to May 3 at a cost of $130 (includes HST). Pilates is a blend of strength and flexibility training which improves posture, reduces stress and creates long, lean muscles. The introductory class will cover the fundamentals of the Pilates mat work while the Intermediate level will add more challenges and progressions. These classes are taught by Sharron Struk. Give Pilates a try and you’ll be hooked!
Enjoy your March Break!
