That’s a wrap on our 2024-2025 classes!

All regular classes have now ended for the 2024-2025 dance season. Thank you everyone for a great year! We have one last event to look forward to with a set of hip hop and jazz performances at the Kenora Pride Community BBQ on Saturday, June 28. We invite anyone that is interested to come to the Jarnel Contracting Pavilion at 2:00 pm (after the Pride March) to support this community event and the participating dancers.

Summer camps have spots available, come dance with us in July and August.

Summer camps include dance technique as well as art and other creative activities. No previous experience is required and there are no dress code requirements for the summer. Register online at danceworkskenora.com/summer-camps/

  • “Expressions” – Ballet, Contemporary, and Choreography (age 9+)
    • Monday, July 14 to Friday, July 18 – 8:30 am to 4:00 pm

      *This camp is currently low enrollment. If you’re interested please register sooner rather than later otherwise we may have to cancel it.
  • “Stage and Screen” – Musical Theatre (age 9+)
    • Monday, July 21 to Friday, July 25 – 8:30 am to 4:00 pm

  • “Superhero Mission” – Dance Foundations Camp (age 7 to 9)
    • Monday, July 28 to Thursday, July 31 – 8:30 am to 4:00 pm

  • “Animal Adventures” Mini Dance Camp (age 5 to 7)

We’re already planning for the 2025-2026 season…

We’re currently working on the 2025-2026 schedule and hope to have everything finalized to open priority registration by mid-July. When the schedule is ready we will also have class placements available for all dancers. Class placement recommendations are made based on each dancer’s technical level, maturity, commitment, and factoring in the overall group cohesiveness. When registration opens you will find class placement information posted in your portal account.

…and are now taking applications for the 2025-2026 Ensemble & competitive routines

Interested in taking your dancing to the next level and having more performance opportunities? We need to know who is interested in joining our Performance Ensemble for the 2025-2026 season so that we can create our schedule for the year and reserve spots at dance competitions for 2026 (as they fill up quickly over the summer).

This year we’ve set up an online application to be completed by interested dancers and their families (rather than having in-studio auditions). Scheduling, style of routines, and groupings will be based on the interest and information indicated in the applications.

The Performance Ensemble provides additional training, workshop, and performance opportunities at local and travel events for Primary through Senior level dancers. Participation requires an extra commitment from dancers (and their families) in order to push their technique, creativity, and artistry further than in their recreational classes.
